Recording from the back of a ferry boat. Sound of the water being churned up by the engine and forming a large wake behind the ferry. Sounds like splashing water.
Sounds of a black sea beautiful surf and waves swashing. Recorded standing in the water close to the beach. Voices of tourists a bit in a frame. Recorded with zoom h2.
A field recording of small waves crashing on a sandy shore. Part of the recording includes the waves splashing against a wooden structure. The waves come a fast, regular intervals; this isn't the slow rolling crash of a barrel wave on the beach. There was a bit of wind (generating the waves) which i've did my best to minimize, but if you don't want wind in the recording you're going to need to edit around it. Always curious to see where these recordings wind up, so if you use it drop me a link in the comments if you think about it.
Recorded at hammonasset state park in connecticut in a rocky section of the beach. Waves hitting boulders of various sizes causes sloshing and splashing sounds. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 using a fur windscreen. Some noise removal in audacity (to remove noise from a plane that briefly passed by).
Light, calm morning waves splashing onto the sandy shore a couple feet awayrecorded on the iphone xr voice memos app, then compressed with audacity(the wind can get obtrusive, especially in the lower frequencies. ).
